Botanical Hand Care: Nourish and Protect with Murraya Extract

Botanical Hand Care: Nourish and Protect with Murraya Extract

Abstract

Development of Hand Cream from Murraya Extract Using an Eco-Friendly Extraction Process. This research focuses on extracting active compounds from Murraya paniculata using a water-based, environmentally friendly method. The extract exhibits outstanding antibacterial properties and anti-oxidant. It is incorporated into a hand cream formulation.

Objective

High Performance Oil Trap Bouy from Natural Nanofiber

Oil and grease pollution is an urgent environmental problem severely affecting aquatic ecosystems and mangrove forests, particularly in the Mani Rat Canal area, Samut Sakhon Province, where no effective solution currently exists. This research aims to develop a "high-efficiency oil-trapping buoy using superhydrophobic membrane technology" by synthesizing cattail flowers into Carbon Nanofiber material for capturing oil and grease, combined with waste PET plastic collected from mangrove areas as the primary structural material. This approach not only addresses water pollution but also enables the recovered oil to be further processed and utilized, representing an environmentally friendly solution that promotes sustainable resource management.

High-protein curry sheet prototype product from organic golden apple snails

The project "High-Protein Gaeng Proe Sheets from Organic Golden Apple Snails" is of great significance in terms of developing local food innovation with enhanced nutritional value, while responding to the needs of health- and environmentally-conscious consumers. The project aims to add value to the golden apple snail — an aquatic species with promising economic potential in Thailand — owing to its rapid reproduction and ability to feed on a wide variety of plant matter. The research team has been developing the breed and conducting farming trials for over five years, and has consistently presented findings at KMITL Innovation events. The project is currently seeking support from various funding sources to scale up and transfer knowledge to farmers. This project therefore serves as a valuable initiative in transforming organically farmed produce into safe and sustainable food product formats.
