The Effect of Cannabidiol on the Excitability of Nociceptive Trigeminal Ganglion Neurons

Abstract

This research studies the effect of CBD on the excitability of mice nociceptive trigeminal ganglion neurons. The electrophysiological parameters of the mouse trigeminal ganglion cells are measured using a Whole Cell Current Clamp Model on a primary cell culture treated with 0.5 uM CBD for 24 hours compared to a control group. After obtaining the results statistical analysis is done using a Mann Whitney-U test.

Objective

Smart BMS Demonstrator for EV Energy Management – Empowering the Future of Education and Thai Industry

This research develops a "Smart Battery Management System (BMS) Demonstration Kit for Electric Vehicles" — a scaled-down prototype that measures battery cell voltage, current, and temperature while precisely controlling cell balancing and charge-discharge processes, supported by a real-time dashboard. The kit integrates LSTM and GRU AI models for accurate prediction of battery voltage and State of Charge (SoC) under varying load conditions, enabling early anomaly detection and predictive maintenance. Designed for exhibition displays and as a teaching resource for higher education and vocational institutions, this demonstration kit delivers meaningful impact across education, research, and innovation development in Thailand's electric vehicle industry.

The extraction of prebiotic from spent coffee grounds

Spent coffee grounds (SCG) are a byproduct of the coffee brewing process, and their quantity continues to increase due to the growing global coffee consumption. SCG contain beneficial compounds such as polysaccharides, dietary fibers, and antioxidants, which can be utilized in various applications, including prebiotic extraction. This study focuses on extracting prebiotics from SCG using acid hydrolysis and enzymatic hydrolysis methods to evaluate their potential in promoting the growth of beneficial gut microorganisms. The expected results of this research include adding value to coffee industry waste, reducing organic waste, and providing a sustainable approach to developing prebiotic products for use in the food and health industries. Furthermore, this study aligns with sustainable resource utilization and environmentally friendly practices.

Study of Possibilities of Prototyping for Decorative Item Using Material Upcycle Process in Collaborated with Local Industry

This study investigates the feasibility of designing products from industrial waste materials at a micro-pile establishment through the Upcycle process, guided by creative innovation principles and the 3Rs framework. The research examines the types and potential of discarded materials for developing distinctive decorative and household product prototypes, achieved through collaboration among academic institutions, the industrial establishment, craftsmen, and the local community. The resulting prototypes demonstrate viable commercial potential while serving as a practical knowledge base for entrepreneurs, designers, and start-ups seeking to develop new products from waste materials in a creative and sustainable manner.
